- Abstract
- Thermistors are thermally sensitive resistors which have large temperature coefficients of resistance. These semiconductors are available with positive or negative temperature coefficients, however, negative temperature coefficient thermistors have attracted the most interest and are by far the most readily available. Temperature coefficients of resistance are usually in the range of -3 to -6% per deg C. Curves of resistance ratio vs. temperature for typical bead-in-glass and bead-in-glass probe thermistors are shown in Figure 1.
