- Abstract
- A major challenge in computational fluid dynamics is to describe a flow field over a wide range of dynamically active length and time scales within available computer resources. When additional physical phenomena, such as combustion, smoke dynamics and radiation, are important, as is the case in fires, the description becomes even more difficult.
