Abstract
For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions, the National Concrete Masonry Association submitted 12 specimens representing a concrete-block cavity-wall construction. The speciments were subjected to compressive, transverse, concentrated, impact, and racking loads. For each of these loads, three like specimens were tested. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load, except for concentrated loads, for which the set only was determined. The results are presented graphically and in a table.
