- Abstract
- As mathematical models of fires in large buildings approach adequacy of coverage of the total phenomena actually present, the number of unknowns and equations becomes large. For one room with four or more objects the number of physical variables is over 50. While mathematical analyses of simplified cases have led to some important observations, the actual programs have difficulties which are in no way associated with these analytical results.
