- Abstract
- Fire protection halons provide today's high-tech world with an effective method of controlling fire. Despite their virtues, however, this unique family of man-made chemicals has been linked with the depletion of the Earth's stratospheric ozone layer. As the availability of halons decreases due to international production restrictions, fire protection practitioners are faced with a challenging new ear that requires alternative creative fire protection for their high value applications.
