Abstract
The principles employed in fire extinction include: [1] separation of the fuel from the oxygen supply, e.g., bu smothering the fire or by removing the oxygen; [2] separation of the unburnt fuel from the source of ignition, e.g., isolating the fire by removing the burning fuel, or by building firebreaks.
