- Abstract
- Our Cooperative, the "Biztonsagtechnika" Ipari Szovetkezet (Industrial Cooperative) has been engaged in the development, production and installation of property and fire protection equipment, and in systems designing, for over 10 years. Our practical experience - especially in systems designing - has shown the fire and property protection of major projects to be cumbersome by the use of conventional centers, in view of current technological potentials. Furthermore, the costs of installation are out of proportion with the services. The current levels of technology and engineering, the storage of higher values in smaller and smaller areas, require a cut in the alarm cycles and an accurate location of the spot affected, so that an early intervention can be started. In this way, great values can be saved from destruction; this is why an intelligent center offers a higher economy, by recognizing the signal of each detector individually. Therefore, the Management of our Cooperative decided about ayear and a half ago to embark upon the development of an intelligent center that can be adapted to conventional centers as well.
