Abstract
The Kansas State Department of Health presents herewith it forty-first consecutive on occupational accident fatalities among Kansas farmers. The purpose of this report is to provide statistical facts that show the extent of the farm work accident problem in as far as it can be depicted in terms of mortality. To accomplish this, specific farm fatality risks are described by way of such variables as the type of work, the type of equipment involved, the circumstances of the accident, the nature of the injury, the time and place of the accident and such partculars as the age and sex of the accident victims. These facts can only be of value if the record of the past can serve as a basis for activities that will insure a safer future in farm work. therefore, this report is made available to all organizations and individuals that have indicated an interest in farm safety.
