- Abstract
- Making the thirtieth anniversary of the CEU, this publication serves a number of purposes: [*] Refines the criteria and guidelines for awarding the IACET CEU; [*] Defines the IACET CEU - a uniform, internationally-recognized unit of measure for continuing education and training; [*] Defines a systematic means for progrm development and delivery; [*] Identifies criteria by which the quality of learning activities are judged; [*] Identifies criteria by which education/training providers are evaluated; [*] Provides a systematic means to document learning across a variety of delivery formats; [*] Testifies to the commitment of hundreds of individuals and their organizations who have volunteered their service on committees, projects, the IACET Board of Directors, and the Authorized Provider Commission. Their role in refining and enhancing the practice of continuing education and training is gratefully acknowledged.
