- Abstract
- For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions, the Bender Body Co. submitted 21 specimens representing their "Bender Steel Home" construction for walls. The specimens were subjected to compressive, transverse, concentrated, impact, and racking loads. The transverse, concentrated, and impact loads were applied to both faces of the specimens. For each of these loads three like specimens were tested. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load, except for concentrated loads, for which the set only was determined. The results are presented in graphs and in a table.
