- Abstract
- A lot has been learned about flash fires. The comparative effects of nitrogen and helium as inert diluents were studied, and the authors believe that helium may be appropriate for space vehicles. Human skin should be considered as combustible in atmospheres containing oxygen at a pressure higher than 500 mm Hg.
