- Abstract
- By experiments was studied, fire in a large, top ventilated room (6 x 6 x 6 m). The main purpose of the investigation was to get experimental data for testing future computer models. Other purposes were to investigate the relationship burning rate F-O2 conc. and the fire environment concerning temperature and CO. Five experiments were done, with various combinations of fuel weight (25,100 kg wood) and ventilationarea (1,2,4 m(2)). All results of F, O2 and CO are presented--but for the temperature only some representative examples of the variation with height and some values of the gas temperature in the roof opening. Some numerical results to notify were O2 (min. 14%) and CO (max 1 o/oo).
