- Abstract
- The Factory Mutual Research Corporation was formed as a unit of the Factory Mutual System to provide services for the particular benefit of FM insurance policyholders, and for society as a whole. The specific goals of the Research Corporation are: (1) to apply the methods of science, engineering, and technology to solving the problems of property loss control and to reducing the cost of such protection; (2) to provide standardized loss control information on processes, methods, and equipment; and (3) to evaluate devices, assemblies, materials, and services that are designed to help control property losses.
