- Abstract
- This Booklet has been prepared by the Occupational Health and Safety Directorate in the Office of the Surgeon General Australian Defence Force (OSGADF) to provide guidance to civil authorities or other persons arriving at the site of a military aircraft accident prior to military personnel. The first persons arriving at a accident site can render valuable assistance to: [*] minimise injury and loss of life; [*] reduce property loss through damage or fire, and [*] prevent loss of clues as to the cause of the accident. The booklet is a supplement to the Aircraft Accident Occupational Health and Safety Manual which contains comprehensive details of hazards associated with Military Aircraft Accident Sites.
