Abstract
[ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH] In the test series the rate of foam destruction has been studied as a function of the heat flux level at different expansion ratios and types of foam. It was shown that high expansion foam exposed to heat flux will be destructed at a rate depending on flux level, expansion ratio and type of foam concentrate. For the same flux level a high expansion ratio gives higher rate of foam destruction. The increase was, however, not proportional to the change of expansion ratio. The destruction of the foam is depending partly on drainage and partly on water evaporation. In the test series the amount of evaporated water was determined by weighing. In this way the amount of evaporated water per liter of destructed form could be determined at different heat flux levels, expansion ratios and types of foam. It was shown that the total amount of evaporated water increases with increasing flux level and decreasing expansion ratio. However, also here the difference was not proportional to the change of expansion ratio.
