- Abstract
- A wood-framed load-bearing partition, 16 ft long and 10-1/3 ft high, with facings of 1/2 in of gypsum-vermiculite plaster on 3/8-in perforated gypsum lath was subjected to a fire-endurance test No. 253, on October 24, 1949. A 10-ft square partition of the same construction was subjected to a fire and hose-stream test No. 254, on October 25, 1949. The tests were made in cooperation with the Gypsum Association to establish a fire-resistance rating for the construction.
