- Abstract
- This British Standard describes methods of test for assessment of the ignitability of mattresses, divane and bed bases when subjected to smoldering and flaming types of primary and secondary ignition sources of differing severities. The following test options are described: (a) mattress, divan or bed base tested with primary ignition sources; (b) mattress, divan or bed base, tested with secondary ignition sources composed of known bedcovers; (c) mattress, divan or bed base, tested with secondary ignition sources simulating unknown bedcovers.
