- Abstract
- The classic similarity solutions of boundary layer diffusion flames in forced flow simplified the governing equations by neglecting phenomena such as buoyancy and radiation. These similarity solutions provide useful predictions for the pyrolysis rate and flame location; however, the dependent variable profiles are not adequate for precise purposes such as soot formation modeling.
