Abstract
The laminar burning of a flat sheet of pyrolyzing fuel in a uniform stream of oxidizer is the starting point of numerous investigations. The present work is aimed at developing analytical formulae for the effects of externally imposed radiation and surface re-rediation on surface pyrolysis rate, flame temperature, as well as thermal and species profiles. Two basic simplifications of the usual Shvab-Zeldovich boundary layer model are introduced to achieve this aim.
