Abstract
A wood-framed load-bearing partition, 16 ft wide and 10 ft 4 in. high, with facings of 1/2 in of gypsum-perlite plaster on 3/8-in perforated gypsum lath, was subjected to a fire-endurance test No. 251, on October 20, 1949. A 10-ft square partition of the same construction was subjected to a fire and hose-stream test No. 252, on October 21, 1949. The partitions were tested in cooperation with the Gypsum Association to establish a fire-resistance rating for the particular construction.
