- A study was conducted over a three-year period in which fundamental experiments on droplet burning in a zero-gravity environment were defined. A feasibility study was carried out in which key aspects of a possible Spacelab experiment were investigated analytically, experimentally on the bench, and in drop tower facilities. Finally, a conceptual design for a Spacelab experiment was developed.
