- Abstract
- The Planning and Design of Tall Buildings involves professional responsibility for the Protection of Life and Property. Architects, Engineers, Owners, Manufacturers, Contractors, and Building Inspection Departments have an obligation to work together for safe and economical buildings. Real protection is not only a question of law, but of honor and professional ethics. This series of conferences explores the SYSTEMS APPROACH to the design and construction of buildings. The many asepcts of the techniques will be presented without prejudice, recognizing that circumstances may favor one in a specific instance and another under different conditions. Hopefully each building constructed will be safe, economical, and an asset to its owner and our environment.
