- Abstract
- A Canadian study (1) on fatal bedding fires covering an 8-year period, revealed that in approximately 60% of the 147 fatalites, the individual died from causes other than burns. These deaths are attributed to oxygen depletion, toxic gases, smoke inhalation and heat, or a combination of these.
