- Abstract
- A wood-joisted floor, 13 ft 6 in wide and 18 ft long was subjected to a fire-endurance test on November 1, 1949. The ceiling to protect the joists consisted of 3/8 in plain gypsum lath and 1/2 in of gypsum-perlite plaster reinforced with woven wire fabric. The test was made to establish a fire-resistance rating for the construction.
