Abstract
Consistent with the illustration of Figure 1, a relatively simple mathematical model which predicts the dynamic fire conditions in compartments of fire origin has been proposed in references 1 and 2. Besides the height, H, and area, A, of the compartment, and the elevation of the fire above the floor, the free burn characteristics of the fuel assembly of fire origin are a required input to the model.
