- Abstract
- This report converns the Fire Emergency Evacuation Simulation for Multifamily Buildings, a deterministic discrete event model for emergency evacuation from living areas of multifamily buildings. It is the final report of the project. It is written in such a fashion that those individuals who wish only a general understanding of the model cap easily find what they require, while those persons who require a deeper understanding can find all of the information that they need. A general introduction is first to appear. Next appears a section describing background information that a user would require to knowledgeably prepare input. A detailed description of the required imput format is next to be given, followed by a detailed descussion of the logic behind the various sections of the model as implemented in the program. Three example simulation runs, as well as a listing of the program, also are given.
