- Abstract
- A plan is presented concerning the need, implementation and general scope of standards which may be required for solar heating and cooling applications. Overviews of the building regulatory system in the United States are given along with a listing of the various standards which will be required for the various solar systems, subsystems, components and materials. The development of standards for solar applications by the Federal Government are outlined, as well as the potential interface and utilization of the existing consensus standards generating organizations.
