- Abstract
- The fire safety potentiality of rigid foamed polyurethane applied as wall cavity insulation is evaluated through a test program employing strategically located thermocouples within the foam-filled cavity to measure the effects on the foam of both heat and direct flame. Laboratory tests of Toxicity and other properties were also conducted and evaluated. Poured-in-place polyurethane as tested was not found to add significantly to the fire or toxicity hazard.
