- The Fire Technology Division of the National Bureau of Standards asked Public Technology to coordinate the development of a national agenda of programs and projects that would have the effect of increasing the introduction of innovations in the fire services. Mechanisms were sought which would diffuse innovative products, methods, techniques and procedures throughout the fire services.
