- Abstract
- The report presents information regarding the continuation and expansion of work reported in Volume 1, Mine Shaft Fire and Smoke Protection Systems under this contract. The purpose of this effort was to reinstall the first prototype hardware for long-term in-mine evaluation; modify the design of the first prototype for cost effectiveness; and fabricate, install, and fire test both systems.
