- Abstract
- The report describes fire tests on four flexible connectors of the type used in air conditioning systems. Four flexible connectors (aluminum, felted glass fiber, steel, and woven glass fiber) were exposed to a standards ASTM E-119 fire test. The results were in agreement with previous results in which a different sized branch duct was used in the assemblies. The results indicated a need to control furnance pressures. The test results were used to develop a proposed test method for fire testing flexible connnectors. This proposed test method is described in the report.
