- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and NBS have been working cooperatively with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to provide United States input to the development of an International Standards Information Network called ISONET. Symposium particpants had an opportunity to learn more about existing International Standards Information systems as well as the plans for the further development of ISONET. Through question and answer discussions, participants were able to learn about new developments in U.S. trade policy, especially those policies pertaining to standards and certification systems.
