Abstract
A specific objective of compartment fire modeling research activities of the Center for Fire Research of the National Bureau of Standards is to develop generic and application-specific software for a well-documented, user-firendly, modular and easily updated zone-type Consolidated Compartment Fire Model (CCFM) computer code. This software will then be used to implement different applications of the CCFM capable of simulating a broad range of compartment fire phenomena. The CCFM applications will address a variety of particular needs of CFR and the fire science and technology communities.
