Abstract
In the past year's segment of the two-year GIRCFF program, FMRC has been studying the ease of ignition of fabrics exposed to flaming heat sources. Experimental ignition times and melting times (for fabrics that melt as first response to the test flame) have been found to have a minimum at fabric locations close to the luminous tip of diffusion flames and the tip of the inner cone of premixed flames.
