- Abstract
- This report presents and explains the criteria by which testing laboratories can be judged for their capability to perform tests identified in the North Carolina Procedures and Regulations for Mobile Homes, Modular Dwelling Units and Other Factory Built Structures - 1970 Edition. This also includes the American National Standard for Mobile Homes, ANSI A119.1-1969 which the code adopts by reference. Technical resources, in terms of facilities, equipment, instrumentation and personnel, necessary to perform each of these tests were subsequently identified after a thorough study of each test. The information is arranged in the report into four major parts (I) General Information, (II) Calibration Plan, (III) Criteria by Building Systems Disciplines and (IV) Laboratory Organization. Each tests along with those technical resources required for its performance is further identified under one of the five building systems disciplines, namely, (1) Structures, (2) HVAC, (3) Fire Safety, (4) Electrical and (5) Plumbing. This criteria is found in Part 3 of this report.
