- Abstract
- For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions, the Celotex Corporation submitted 42 specimens representing 2 wall and 2 partition constructions having wood framing with "Celotex Vapor-Seal Insulating" sheathing, "Celotex" building board, and 'Celotex Vapor-Seal Insulating" lath. The wall specimens were subjected to compressive, transverse, concentrated, impact, and racking loads and the partition specimens to impact and concentrated loads. The transverse, concentrated, and impact loads were applied to both faces of the wall specimens. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load, except for concentrated loads, for which the set only was determined. The results are presented in graphs and in tables.
