Abstract
This report presents the temperature measurements from fire resistance tests conducted at the National Fire Laboratory on small-scale, non-insulated, gypsum wallboard protected assemblies with and without resilient channels. Assemblies with resilient channels include the installation of channels between the wood studs and the gypsum wallboard on the exposed side, on the unexposed side and on both the exposed and unexposed sides. Gypsum wallboard arrangements studied were 1x1 (one layer of board on both the exposed and unexposed sides) and 2x2 (two layers on board on both the exposed and unexposed sides). The average temperature distribution on the unexposed surface as well as on the inner-surfaces are presented.
