- Abstract
- The measured properties of building materials and their composites sometimes reflect the conditions to which they have been exposed while being prepared for test. Conditioning these materials to some standard reference state is sometimes used to minimize this effect. A methodology for establishing conditioning requirements for building composites and materials is presented and it is illustrated by applying it to two building composites. The composites to which the methodology is applied are: (1) gypsum wallboard and (2) a structural sandwich wall panel.
