- Abstract
- Each year the estimates of the number of accidental deaths show that the various sources disagree. The Environmental Health Service did not make estimates for 1969. It is suggested that the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company figures be used, with the qualification that they may differ from the final data not only because they are estimates, but also because of changes in the International Classification of Diseases in 1968. Thus, these figures are not strictly comparable with earlier years, and it is believed that final figures will be somewhat lower.
