- Abstract
- In the past, there have been four separate estimates on accidental deaths from the previous year - those from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and the National Safety Council and two from the U.S. Public Health Service. The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company figures and the January Public Health Service figures have been in close agreement. None of the estimtes has deviated greatly from the final data; on the other hand, however, they usually do not completely agree with the rounded final data, though they do indicate trends.
