- Abstract
- Highly brominated epoxy resins diluted with bis-(2,3 epoxycyclopentyl) ether and reacted with aromatic amine curing agents are characterized by means of cast resin and NOL ring mechanical property data. These resin systems have a very low viscosity and a sufficient pot-life for use in the wet filament winding process. The mechanical property data is in a similar range to that of conventional winding resins. These resin systems are being evaluated in filament wound external aircraft fuel tanks of 100 gallon capacity.
