- Abstract
- After the introduction of plastic containers for transportation and temporary storage of gasoline, a product Standard was proposed which included a requirement that the cans be capable of withstanding 20 psi internal pressure. To determjine whether this was a realistic requirement, a test program was set up utilizing plastic ocntainers being sold as gasoline containers by local retail stores. The manuacturers were represented.
