- Abstract
- With the discovery that the pyrolysis products of a specific class of fire-retarded polymeric foam (initially represented by a laboratory formulation) contained a component of extraordinary toxicity, this program was initiated to examine the toxicity of combustion products from samples of commercial polymers. The program objective was to determine the existence and extent to which this and similar toxicity problems existed in commercial materials.
