- Abstract
- For the program on the determination of the structural properties of low-cost house constructions, the Homasote Co., Trenton, NJ submitted 63 specimens, representing 2 wall and 1 partition constructions, consisting of wood frames with "Homasote" insulating fiberboard as inside face, as outside face, and as sheathing. The specimens were subjected to compressive, transverse, concentrated, impact, and racking loads, for each of which three like specimens were tested. The deformation under load and the set after the load was removed were measured for uniform increments of load. The results are presented in graphs and in tables.
