- Concepts introduced in the upward flame spread models of Saito et al. and and Quintiere et al. have been developed further to formulate a model that accepts certain measurable "fire properties" obtained from small scale experiments in order to predict the upward propagation of fire on a vertical wall made of a combustible materials.
