- Abstract
- The details of construction and instruction for use of a new and improved instrument for determination of bulk modulus and pressure-viscosity characteristics of fluids and lubricants are given. Experimental data on several fluids is given. Progress is presented on the development of a rapid, reliable method to determine the lubricity characteristicson small samples of perfluoropolyalkylether base fluids and formulations. Experimental data on selected perfluoropolyalkylether base fluids and formulations are given. Progress is presented on the effort directed toward improving the precision of the Corrosion Rate Evaluation Procuedure (CREP) to the level that it can be included in the specifications for advanced gas turbine engine lubricants. Experimental data is given on selected physical and chemical properties of candidate advanced lubricants and hydraulic fluids.
