Abstract
There has recently been a great deal of research activity on the stability behavior of turbulent jet diffusion flames. New experimental results and theoretical analyses have appeared for both lift-off and blow out. Vastly different physical models have been proposed to explain the experimental findings for each. All of these models yield predictions which are in agreement with experiment.
