- Abstract
- The files maintained by the Maryland State Fire Marshal (Mr. J.C. Robertson) were reviewed in an attempt to obtain data to help define the many circumstances in the nature of a fire fatality. the two-year period 1967-1968 was chosen as the sample period, since these two years were the most recent years for which the data were complete. The sample size that was investigated included 321 fatalities which ocurred furing the stated time period. The data available for each fatality was examined.
