- Abstract
- In 1965, the NFPA broke with a sixty-year tradition and restructured its periodicals. The NFPA QUARTERLY, published since 1907, was divided into two parts. Fire Journal continued with general news and articles relevant to the full NFPA membership. Fire Technology was created to carry the more scientific research and engineering articles. Fire Technology has now completed more than twenty-fire years of publication. This represents the longest record of publication of any peer-reviewed technical fire periodical, an especially notable distinction in a field where the number of technical journals has increased markedly.
