- Abstract
- The subject of this Report is a roof deck assembly consisting of stainless-steel roof panels. The panels were installed over a glass-fiber blanket insulation and attached to high-strength steel purlins with panel fasteners. The object of the investigation was to establish a wind-uplift classification for the roof deck assembly described in this report by subjecting the assembly to a wind-uplift test. The test was conducted in accordance with the test method described in the Bulletin of Research No. 52 of Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., entitled "Development of Apparatus and Test Method for Determining Wind-Uplift Resistance of Roof Assemblies."
